NAC432A.524. Child care centers and accommodation facilities: Caregivers during the day.

  • Except as otherwise provided in NAC 432A.290, 432A.532 and 432A.546, a licensee of a child care center or accommodation facility shall have on duty between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at least the following number of caregivers:

         1. Where the children are 2 years of age and older:

         (a) For 1 to 6 children, inclusive, one caregiver;

         (b) For 7 to 20 children, inclusive, two caregivers;

         (c) For 21 to 35 children, inclusive, three caregivers;

         (d) For 36 to 50 children, inclusive, four caregivers;

         (e) For 51 to 65 children, inclusive, five caregivers;

         (f) For 66 to 80 children, inclusive, six caregivers;

         (g) For 81 to 93 children, inclusive, seven caregivers; and

         (h) For every 13 children in excess of 93, one additional caregiver.

         2. In a classroom which contains children who are 2 or more years of age but less than 3 years of age:

         (a) For 1 to 10 children, inclusive, one caregiver;

         (b) For 11 to 20 children, inclusive, two caregivers;

         (c) For 21 to 30 children, inclusive, three caregivers; and

         (d) For every 1 to 10 children, inclusive, in excess of 30, one additional caregiver.
