NAC441A.6945. Streptococcus pneumoniae: Invasive.

The health authority shall investigate each report of a case having invasive Streptococcus pneumoniae to:

     1. Confirm the diagnosis;

     2. Determine the extent of any outbreak; and

     3. Determine the need for measures to prevent, suppress and control the spread of the disease, including, without limitation, procedures to exclude, isolate or quarantine the case.
