  • “Pressure regulator” means a valve with a horizontal disc or diaphragm for automatically sustaining or reducing water pressure in a main, lateral or service line at or to a preset value. The term includes a pressure-reducing valve, a pressure-sustaining valve and a valve that incorporates both features.
