  • “Environmental impact statement” means a report that the Division requires an applicant to prepare for a proposed water project if the Division determines that the project will have a significant impact on the quality of the human environment or will generate controversy concerning the natural environment. The statement must include a detailed and formal evaluation of the favorable and adverse environmental and social impacts of the proposed water project and describe any alternative action that may be less environmentally disruptive.
