  • “Long-term acceptance rate” means the volume of wastewater that can be applied to a square foot of soil each day, over an indefinite period, such that the wastewater is properly treated and the effluent is absorbed. The rate is dependent upon the most restrictive percolation rate and the texture of the soil to a depth of 4 feet below the proposed bottom of the absorption area.
