  • If the occurrence of an emergency such as a fire, flood, loss of power or similar event might result in the contamination of food or prevent potentially hazardous food from being stored at required temperatures, the person in charge at the food establishment shall immediately contact the health authority. Upon receiving notice of the emergency, the health authority will take any action necessary to protect the public health.
