  • In all new or extensively remodeled establishments with floors made of concrete, terrazzo, ceramic tile or similar materials that are cleaned by being flushed with water, the junctures between the walls and the floors must be coved with a minimum radius of one-half inch (12.7 millimeters) and sealed. In all other cases, the junctures between walls and floors must not present an open seam of more than one thirty-second of an inch (0.79 millimeters) around coving materials.
