  • An obstetric center must have adequate emergency electrical power:

         1. By procuring batteries or an electricity-producing generator with sufficient fuel which is capable of providing power for 2 hours or more to:

         (a) All lights in the obstetric center; and

         (b) All equipment in the obstetric center with the exception of the wall outlets located in a reception or waiting area.

         2. By having the source of emergency power serviced on a regular basis and documenting that service in the records of maintenance of the obstetric center.
