- Every building, vault or structure used for the permanent interment of the remains of deceased persons must be constructed of noninflammable material and all steel work must be covered with at least 2 inches of concrete. Steel framework for elevators, windows, doors, skylights and other similar openings need not be encased in concrete, but must be treated with an efficient preservative.
