NAC455C.200. Decrease in working pressure or temperature: Determination by inspector or special inspector; contest of decision.

  •      1. An inspector or special inspector may require a decrease in the working pressure or temperature of a boiler or pressure vessel if he or she determines that the condition of the boiler or pressure vessel requires such a decrease. If the owner of the boiler or pressure vessel does not concur with the decision of the inspector or special inspector, the owner or his or her agent may contest the decision. The contest must be in writing, addressed to the Enforcement Section and state with particularity the basis for the contest.

         2. If contested, the person designated by the Chief to review the contest may require a joint inspection by any combination of two inspectors or special inspectors. Each inspector or special inspector shall prepare and submit a report to the person designated by the Chief. The person designated by the Chief shall render a final decision based upon the data contained in the reports submitted by the inspectors or special inspectors.
