NAC455C.214. Backflow prevention devices.

- Except as otherwise provided in this section, the pipe that is used to feed water into a boiler or pressure vessel must not be installed or connected to any domestic water supply unless a backflow prevention device that is certified by the manufacturer as being approved pursuant to the code is installed to prevent contamination or pollution of the water supply. A backflow prevention device is not required to be installed on a hot water supply boiler that is used only for domestic water use. The certification for the backflow prevention device must be available to the inspector or special inspector, upon request, at the time of installation and annually thereafter.
