  • The maximum age at which a standard boiler may be operated is the age determined pursuant to the code in effect when the boiler was constructed and stamped, if it is thoroughly inspected, by an internal inspection and an external inspection, and is given a hydrostatic pressure test of 1 1/2 times the maximum allowable working pressure with water that is at a temperature of at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit but not more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
