NAC534A.330. Identification of producing wells by sign; assignment of code number.

  •      1. Each producing well must be identified by a sign posted within 30 feet of the well unless the property on which the well is located has a street address. The sign must be of durable construction. The lettering must be kept in legible condition and be large enough to be legible under normal conditions at a distance of 25 feet. The wells must be numbered in nonrepetitive, logical and distinctive sequence. Each sign must show the number of the well, the name of the lease, which must be different and distinctive for each lease, the name of the lessee, owner or operator and the location by quarter-quarter section, section, township and range. This requirement may be modified by the Administrator for good cause.

         2. The Division shall assign to each well a code number of the American Petroleum Institute when the drilling permit is approved.
