  • “Balled nursery stock” means nursery stock that is removed from its growing site with a ball of soil that encloses an intact portion of the root system of the nursery stock. The term includes all such stock whether or not the root ball is encased in burlap, a wire basket or other similar material that holds the root ball in place.
