NAC643.530. Walls and floor coverings.

1. A barber school must be well-lighted and well-ventilated.
2. The furniture, equipment, tools, utensils, floors, walls, ceilings, windows and rest rooms of a barber school must be kept in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.
3. The walls of a barber school must be nonporous and nonabsorbent and made of a washable material.
4. The walls, woodwork, ceilings, furnishings and fixtures of a barber school must be kept in good repair.
5. The floor of a barber school must be covered with linoleum, asphalt tile or some other washable and nonporous material other than paint. The board may approve the installation of carpeting in the waiting area of the school. The carpeting must be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times and must be installed in such a manner that it does not come within 6 feet of a barber’s chair, wash basin, work cabinet or back bar.
6. The floors of a barber school must be kept in good repair.
