Latest version.
  • The Commission may, upon the request of a public utility that furnishes water for municipal, industrial or domestic purposes or services for the disposal of sewage, or both, and would otherwise be required to file a general rate application pursuant to paragraph (c) or (d) of subsection 3 of NRS 704.110, waive that requirement if the public utility demonstrates that the cost of preparing and presenting the general rate application would exceed the increase, if any, in the amount of revenue that would be obtained if the general rate application were approved by the Commission. The public utility must file a petition requesting a waiver not later than 270 days before the date on which the public utility’s general rate application must otherwise be filed.
