NAC503.228. Possession and transfer of raptor if owner of raptor dies.

  • Notwithstanding the provisions of NAC 503.205, 503.225, 503.226 and 503.227, if the owner of a raptor dies, the surviving spouse, if any, of the owner or the executor, administrator or other legal representative of the estate of the owner:

         1. May possess the raptor for not more than 90 days after the death of the owner; and

         2. Not later than 90 days after the death of the owner, shall transfer the raptor to any person authorized to possess the raptor or to the Department, which shall determine the final disposition of the raptor.
