NAC211.550. Sewage disposal.

Latest version.
  • All sewage and liquid waste matter must be disposed of into a public system of sewerage, if available. If public sewerage is not available, disposal must be made into a private system of sewage disposal which is designed, constructed and operated in accordance with the requirements of the health authority or, if the system is an on-site sewage disposal system, the Division of Environmental Protection of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources or other administrative authority pursuant to NAC 445A.950 to 445A.9706, inclusive. If public sewerage becomes available, connections must be made thereto, the institution’s use of the private system or on-site sewage disposal system must be discontinued and the private system or on-site sewage disposal system must be properly abandoned. Procedures for abandonment of an on-site sewage disposal system are provided by the Division of Environmental Protection of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in fact sheet “WTS-20: Abandonment of Sewerage Facilities,” which is available from the Division and at the Internet address http://ndep.nv.gov/bwpc/fact01.htm.
