  •      1. The semester hours of credit required for a major in manufacturing technology must include course work in each of the following areas of study:

         (a) Acetylene welding;

         (b) Electric arc welding;

         (c) Machine tool operation;

         (d) Metal fabrication-arc;

         (e) Metal fabrication;

         (f) Industrial metals;

         (g) Reading blueprints;

         (h) Basic metals;

         (i) Welding design and layout;

         (j) Inspection testing;

         (k) Advanced arc welding; and

         (l) GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding.

         2. The semester hours of credit required for a minor in manufacturing technology must include course work in each of the following areas of study:

         (a) Acetylene welding;

         (b) Introduction to arc welding;

         (c) Basic metals;

         (d) Welding design and layout;

         (e) Reading blueprints;

         (f) Machine reading;

         (g) Metal fabrication; and

         (h) Inspection testing.
