  • A public notice for each draft of a permit for an underground injection well, tentative exemption for an aquifer, if required, or intent to deny an application for a permit must be circulated by the Director at least 30 days before the issuance of the permit, exemption or denial, in a manner designed to inform interested and potentially interested persons. The notice must be:

         1. Published in a daily newspaper of general circulation within the geographic area of the proposed injection well; and

         2. Mailed to the applicant, any person or group requesting notice, the Division of Minerals, the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services, the Division of Water Resources of the Department and the Administrator of the Office of Historic Preservation of the Department of Cultural Affairs.
