  • “Intravenous therapy” means an infusion of fluids through a vein at a regulated rate of flow as prescribed by a licensed physician, a licensed physician assistant, a licensed dentist or a licensed podiatric physician for the purpose of replacing fluid, maintaining fluid balance or adding medications or nutrients.
