Treatment of Water: Groundwater |
NAC445A.54024. Prerequisites to commencement of project.
- A public water system which relies on a source of groundwater must, before commencing a water project to treat or blend groundwater:
1. Submit to the Division or to the appropriate district board of health, pursuant to NAC 445A.54026, a preliminary engineering report for review and preliminary approval;
2. Upon preliminary approval of the preliminary engineering report, submit to the Division or to the appropriate district board of health, with the appropriate fees, an application for approval of the water project to treat groundwater that complies with the requirements of NAC 445A.54028;
3. Obtain written approval from the Division or the appropriate district board of health for the water project to treat groundwater; and
4. Submit to the Division or the appropriate district board of health a copy of a manual of operations and maintenance for the facility to treat groundwater.
