NAC446.535. Studs, joists and rafters.

Studs, joists and rafters may not be exposed in refrigerators, areas used for preparing food or washing equipment and utensils, and rooms with toilets and vestibules. If exposed in other rooms or areas, they must be finished to provide surfaces which are easy to clean.
